What saith the Scriptures about Enoch
Gen 5v18-19: And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch: And Jared lived after he begot Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters:
Enoch's fathers and his son listed here. He was father of the man who lived the longest on this earth. In Luke he is listed in the genealogy of Christ.
Gen 5v22-24: And Enoch walked with God after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
How wonderful it is to read of Enoch walking with God and then "he was not; for God took him." Enoch having walked faithfully with God was spared a long life on this earth (in comparison to those around him) and taken by God.
Jude 1v14-15: And Enoch also the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, to execture judgement upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Enoch's message was to warn those around even in those early years of the coming judgement of God and how when he comes He will come with His saints.
